Greetings!

We've expanded our Reliability/Durability
testing capabilities to include:
UV Exposure. Our UV Exposure chamber in Baltimore, MD provides you solid data on the lifespan of materials (paints, plastics, polymers, stabilizers, rubbers, and more) after exposure to sunlight radiation and moisture. The unit can reproduce damage that may occur over months or even years outdoors.
Increased bandwidth for Temperature/Humidity Chambers. Our four new chambers, between the Chicago and Baltimore laboratories, extend our already expansive capabilities and provide you additional built-in functionality for event triggering, commonly used for combined environment testing or customized power cycling.
Salt Spray Temperature Cycling. Trace Chicago has added two new chambers for testing to GMW3172 section 9.4.8. This specialized salt spray test for under-mounted electronics on passenger vehicles and light-duty trucks proves your equipment's ability to withstand this corrosive environment over its intended lifespan.

Schedule a Counterfeit Testing Training Program
| These two images should be identical. Unnoticeable to the naked eye are these blatant counterfeit components revealed through x-ray examination. Could this happen to you? How can you ensure your components are genuine? By developing a counterfeit testing program. During IPC Midwest in September, LaShawnda Scott, Test Engineer at Trace Laboratories Baltimore, presented this very topic to over 50 IPC members. Trace also presented this topic as a webinar for the Surface Mount Technology Association (SMTA). The opening paragraph samples just one of the many counterfeit components we've discovered in our labs as discussed in her intriguing and relevant presentation. How can you develop a customized, counterfeit testing program with ease? Contact LaShawnda at (410) 229-4392 or lscott@tracelabs.com with any questions or to schedule a webinar or in-house visit to train your staff in leveraging the available technology and expertise to ensure you're using genuine components. |
