Holiday Home Owners Warned
Increase In Theft Of Heating Oil!
As holiday home insurance specialists we are often the first to hear of trends affecting the furnished holiday let market. We have been warned by our partner insurer, the Ecclesiastical of a sharp increase in incidents involving theft of heating oil at rural premises, such as secluded homes, churches and village halls. Whilst theft of oil is covered by Boshers holiday home insurance policy, thankfully we have not yet seen this increase in oil theft claims reflected across our holiday home account. We wish to make you aware in order that you may take suitable precautions to reduce the risk of heating oil theft.
A significant increase in oil theft would likely result in an increase in premiums or the insurer applying higer excesses or capping sums insured in the future.

Is your holiday home underinsured...?
Our holiday home insurance may give you peace of mind should the worst happen, however you'll need to give us the correct buildings and contents sum insured so we can ensure the right amount of cover is provided from the outset. Failing to do this could result in your claim payment being reduced in proportion to the amount of underinsurance.
