Greetings!

September went out with a bang as our high-tech road trip yielded great results!  We won a coveted award, prizes, learned a lot and have a fresh, new approach to system design.

Interested? See below for a CEDIA EXPO recap!

 CEDIA EXPO

High-tech Road-trip Re-cap

The Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA) held a great Expo last month and we are so glad we attended.  Not only did we learn a lot and get to see new technologies - we won an Electronic Lifestyles award for Best Technical Design, Large Home Theater.  See below for award winning pictures!

EL Award-winning Theater 2010
Award-winning design + extremely happy homeowner
+ easy to use = job well done!
This year's Expo also brought new and innovative products to better one's life.  Here's a sneak peek at a few of these technologies.
AMX montage 2010

As a whole-house control system, AMX can display energy monitoring graphs to help you make better decisions on how you 'spend' your energy. They also introduced a power manager for rack equipment that aids in remote diagnostics and service.

C4 montage

Control4, another whole-house control system, has been working to pioneer home energy management - in conjunction with utility companies to decrease peak usage and save you money!

Theater montage
Is your style classic, high-tech, or filled with bling?  Products exist to cater to nearly any style and aesthetic.
Theater chairs
Complete the look with seating that's custom to your fit & style!

We hope you have enjoyed a sneak-peek into CEDIA's annual Expo.  Feel free to visit our Facebook page for more pictures.

Mr. Fix-It Case Study

One of our clients recently moved into a home, complete with a whole-house system.  While the system worked (mostly) it needed a little T.L.C. to fix a few problems and add updated features.

Upon our arrival, this is what we found:

Rack before
A rat's nest of wire

Equipment racks are a necessary evil with many whole-house systems to keep the visual aesthetic in the room clean and streamlined.  Imagine if you had to find space for all of the equipment above - IN your interior spaces.

However, we believe with an organized, well-planned, clean equipment rack, the system looks - and performs better!  With a little T.L.C., the rack now looks like:

Organized, labeled, and properly tensioned

Having problems with your system and think it needs T.L.C.?

Give us a call (314.821.3400) or send Jamie an email:
jamie@integrationcontrols.com and we'll work for you to make it right.
As they are typically located out of the way, aesthetics of the rack itself can be of little concern - for others.
At the Expo in Atlanta, we saw a lot of cool, innovative and game-changing products.  While we are tech-geeks and loved the show, we also want our clients and prospective clients to keep in mind that sometimes 'stuff' is just 'stuff'.  Without a professional design catered to your needs, courteous service, or a solid warranty - you may be left with a Mr. FixIt scenario.

To prevent this, email me (jamie@integrationcontrols.com) for our '5 Considerations for Home Technology' with a few hints and tips in deciding what's right for you.

Thank you for reading this issue of News & Review.  We hope you are enjoying this beautiful fall weather!

Sincerely,

Jamie Briesemeister
