Contraceptive Mandate Will Force Christian Organizations to Violate Conscience
For the first time in U.S. history, the government is forcing Christian charities such as hospitals, para-church ministries, and Christian-based businesses to consider closing their doors because they refuse to violate deeply-held beliefs.
As an organization, DFPC is actively involved in what we consider a sacred trust. Our goal is to protect the freedom of people of faith to live "according to the dictates of their conscience" as our Delaware Constitution boldly claims in its preamble. Since our inception, DFPC has been standing on Constitutional principles, rooted in scripture, against the movement to silence people of faith. Now we are facing one of the most serious infringements on religious liberty in U.S. history: the unjust HHS mandate.
This issue affects all of us - and we stand in unity with the Catholic community to fight this battle. It's a battle we must win because, as Bishop Malooly of the Diocese of Wilmington explained in his open letter to the people of Delaware, our religious liberties are at the very core of our constitutional freedoms. We must stand unified on this issue. We are asking you to do the following three simple things to get involved:
