Last week DFPC was informed through one of our Freedom Educators that a group of public school students were told they could not perform a skit in the school talent show because of Christian themes referring to Jesus, as in a cross, a crown of thorns.

The school principal said his reasons were based on the "Separation of Church and State." This is not surprising coming from an Administrator who's training in steeped in the influence of the ACLU and the teacher's union.

The students were not ready to give up their rights! DFPC was informed of the issue, obtained legal counsel within 24 hours and communicated with the principal and students. We had grounds for litigation.

On Friday night January 20th, the students performed their powerful skit to a full house, received a standing ovation, and won first place. Many were impacted by the boldness of the message these students offered their community. We continue to cheer them on in proclaiming their faith and the powerful message of salvation communicated in their skit, and exercising their First Amendment rights.
