Greetings!
It's been a few weeks since we've been able to communicate with you through eConnect. Christian ministry is unpredictable and often leaves us unable to accomplish everything we would like.
I'm wondering if things are ever like that in your life? Do you ever find yourself being pulled 100 ways at once and feeling that not only aren't you able to accomplish all you would like to get done but in addition, the stuff you are doing, seems rushed and often poorly done. Over time, we can begin to resent our busy lives and yet at the same time, feel trapped with no way out.
A colleague of mine, asked on his Facebook status this morning; "what is the speed of your life?" and then reminded us that the speed God wants our lives to move at is the "speed of love."
What a great image! What might the speed of love look like? Certainly the speed of love would welcome the interruptions and the setbacks. The speed of love would worry more about relationships than accomplishments. The speed of love is not a lazy speed but it is patient, kind, slow to anger and abounding in grace.
What speed is your life going at these days? I'm going to try and adjust the accelerator and see if I can find the speed of love.
