Greetings!
I was reminded of a good book the other day by Philip Yancey titled The Jesus I Never Knew. A quote from that book is interesting to reflect upon during this Season of Lent as we contemplate how the powerless cross, transforms our broken world and our broken lives.
"Power, no matter how well-intentioned, tends to cause suffering. Love, being vulnerable, absorbs it. In a point of convergence on a hill called Calvary, God renounced one for the sake of the other."
May you discover, love, power and transformation in your Lenten journey.

Lenten Series Continues
CLC's Lenten Series Broken Pieces continues this week with another great drama based on the story of the Woman at the Well (John 4). Many of you have probably noticed that there is a great painting of a scene from that story on the ceiling above the organ.
We'll be serving walking tacos for supper and everything's looking like this will be another WOW Lenten service that you won't want to miss.

Giving Tree
CLC's Mission & Ministry Board has placed a Giving Tree in the handicapped entry area with some fun ideas of things you can buy for the church and the many programs and ministries that we do. Interested in some fun Easter gifts or maybe you have something laying around the house you're not using but we might be able to use. Stop by the tree today and see if there's some way that you might be able to help us out.
