Ghosties!
| | Many of us are "haunted" by "ghosts." But they are not the disembodied spirits of people who have left the earthly realm. They are real or imagined memories of past experiences.
Sometimes the "ghosts" have been with us since childhood, like an embarrassing moment, rejection or failed test. But its' not so funny when we let the ghosts interfere with our present life experience.
These ghosts are not real. They are phantoms of the past. They are fear-based illusions.
The past has passed. It is not who you are, it is an experience you had. You are wonderful and capable. Failure is just a pothole of the road to success.
If these ghosts appear in your mind or heart say, "You have no power over me!" And go to your destiny!

Ghoulies!
| | Ghouls are defined as malevolent spirits, or people interested in morbid or disgusting things.
"Ghoulish thoughts," are sensationalized thoughts that draw our attention on the front cover of the "trash rags." They are broadcast on the evening news, or in violent television programs, movies and video games.
Yet we are compelled, by our carnal mind, to give our attention to these things.
But this is what Mastery is all about. We have the power to control our thoughts. Whenever our thoughts are drawn into negative directions we can stop, and start thinking of healthy, positive things instead.
If you find your mind sliding down the slippery slope, remember the words of Jesus, "What is that to you? Follow me!" |

Vampires!
| |
Vampires are said to be undead who stay alive by draining the blood from their victims.
While the creatures may be fictional, most of us have encountered what is called a "spiritual vampire" in our lives.
Spiritual vampires are people who are so needy that they seem to drain the life right out of us. Our lives seem to be their source of life. After spending time with these people we literally feel our energy sapped.
Being compassionate, we are compelled to help these everyone, but the help is never enough, and in the end, it only drains us further. Sometimes, after doing the best we can, it is time to let them go.
These are the times we need to remember that we are ALL children of God, and have the ability to find our own way.
We have the choice...we can empower our family and friends to do so, or we can enable them to live their lives vicariously, dependent on us as their perceived source.
This week on television, a woman who had overcome addiction said, "Hitting rock bottom was the foundation that I used to rebuild my life."
And I say, "Sometimes love IS letting go."

Zombies!
| |
In Voodoo, a zombie is a dead person given the semblance of life, but mute and will-less, under the control of someone else.
The general definition is "a person who appears to be lifeless, apathetic, or totally lacking in independent judgment."
What is most difficult for those of us who are consciously aware of the activity of Spiritual Principle to understand, is that although ALL are Children of God, some simply are not yet aware of it.
So we try to force- feed them the principles that inspire our lives...that we live by...we try to convert them to our way of thinking.
Until they are ready to hear; until their eyes are opened to see, and their ears open to hear, trying to force enlightenment on them would be like waking the dead.
Instead, just be a good example, live your truth and when they awaken, they will know right where to turn!
