It's a Mad, Mad World...Let's Stop the Insanity!
Blessings to You!
Did you ever look around at the world we live in and think to yourself, "This place has gone 'round the bend! Stop the world, I want to get off!"? Seriously...for example:
In the midst of an "economic crisis," people are lined up overnight to purchase the new "IPhone," which compounds the ecological crisis caused by the planned obsolescence of the trinkets we think we need.
We have come to focus more on weddings than assuring the success of the marriage.
We require training to obtain a license to drive a car, but enter parenthood with little or no preparation.
We agonize over violence in the world and shake our heads at the shame of innocent lives lost, as  violent movies top the box office and we fight for our right to bear arms.
In the midst of all of our time-saving gadgets and appliances, we have less time than ever.
We go to war to find peace. I could go on and on. But I think this gives you the general idea.
I am sure that you, as I, do not REALLY want "off" the planet. But what can we do? I think the best thing we can do is commit to being a part of the solution, not the problem. "How?" you may ask...read on.
We can stop the insanity with three simple steps:
1) Stop
2) Look
3) Listen
1) Stop.
This may seem like a silly thought. Stop. Really? Yes! Ask anyone how they are, and they will usually say "Busy!." In order to become aware of our thought processes, we need to stop our busy-ness long enough to...
2) Look.
When we take the time to stop and look at our lives and the world we live in; what we like, what we don't like, what we miss, what we would want to see happen, we can...
3) Listen.
There are two ways of listening. One is with the ears, the other is with the heart; the intuitive and sensing faculty that guides us toward our highest good. It is a spiritual, moral compass. This will direct us to right thought and right action.
Mental activity never stops. It continues whether awake, or asleep, or even in a coma. Without conscious direction of our thoughts, feelings and actions, our life, and the world we live in, can become insane.
When we become aware of the "big picture" of how our thoughts, words and actions create our reality, we are able to make the changes that will bring our world back into equilibrium, aka "sanity."
Today I invite you to join me in stopping the insanity; in returning to the win-win world we are here to co-create. Stop. Look. Listen. Change the world.
Abundance and Peace to You! RevAli

Unity Wisdom

To faith we now add understanding of the law, and our achievements will be a fulfillment of the promise of Jesus, "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do" (John 14:12).
