Giving is very important to us.
There's some things in life that REALLY MATTER, but usually the less important is drowned out by the things that make no long term difference.
The owner of New Leaf works closely with two organizations that work to make long term differences in the lives of the people they serve.
CONVERGE auburn is a Christian discipleship and community service organization. The focus of CONVERGE is to see people transformed one person at a time.
ORIGINAL DESIGN OUTFITTERS is a group that takes men on wilderness retreats in Southeast Alaska to help restore them to their "original design".
This year we will be raising funds for these two groups.
Here are some ways you can help:
1.) New Leaf is a collection site for used print cartridges, cell phones, laptop computers and ipods that are sold for funds to help CONVERGE in its mission.
2.) New Leaf is having a yard sale in mid-May to raise funds for the Aug. 1-9 retreat to southeast Alaska.
THIS IS HOW YOU CAN HELP!
Drop off just about anything you have in your home (that can't be sold at New Leaf, of course) for the yard sale or electronics fund raiser
Items we can accept:
Print Cartridges, Cell Phones, Laptops, Ipods (any of these can be in working or non-working order)
Yard Sale Items: furniture, decor, clothing, electronics, yard tools, and just about anything you think might sell at a yard sale
We appreciate any help you can offer with these efforts.
Once again we want to remind you to remember the people in your life that really matter!
Your children, spouse, close family and friends are your most valuable possession. When we let the less important take precedence over those people we do damage, not only to ourselves, but to those relationships as well. There's many ways to cut back and "live for less". We encourage you to explore and focus in on making a long term impact instead of a short term paycheck.
Thank you so much!
