Back to School Greetings!

It's hard to believe that summer's all but over in Taos, especially when the sun just keeps on shining - let's hear it for our 325 days of sunshine a year! We've had a really great summer here at Twirl. The courtyard has been filled with little people having fun and making friends, and so many new people have found us - we can only assume you've been doing a great job spreading the word, so thank you!

Before we say goodbye to summer completely, we will be having one more Ice-Cream Sunday Party, this time with a Back to School theme. As usual, there will be FREE Ice-Cream, along with Button-Making and a Back to School Kids' Clothing Swap. Come join in the fun and bring your hand-me-downs. We will set up tables by size in the back courtyard, and you can lay out your clothes to trade. Better still, unswapped clothes will be taken to the freebox/CAV/birthing center. This Sunday, August 22nd from 2-4pm.

Back to School Button Making with Lindsy begins Wednesday September 1 and will continue every Wednesday afternoon through end September from 3.30 - 5pm. We'll have our Button Bar set up in-store for budding designers to come along and make their own buttons - 50c for one and $2 for five. Design your own, color in one of our templates or bring favorite magazine clippings and make a collage. Submit any of your designs to our Button of the Month competition for the chance to win a Fishcake button collection and have your design made by us and sold in the store - with full artistic credit!

We'll be making a couple of changes to our weekly schedule starting Septmber 1, so please check it out below. Hoop Dancing with Liz will be back from September 6 on Mondays 4 - 4.45 - great for all those wiggle worms out there.

Finally, if you're not yet fully kitted out for the new school year, the store has super kid-friendly lunch boxes, thermos flasks and water bottles, along with funky back packs, pencils, pads, erasers and all that jazz.
