A little birdie wanted to remind you about some fun events coming up at twirl and around town.
 
First up is our Toy Play Day, taking place this Friday, 26th March, from 3pm - 5pm. Come hang out with friends and put your hands and mind to work helping us put together a brand new toy straight out of the box. We will be assembling a Cardboad Design rocket, and one lucky child will get to take it home with them.
 
Also on Friday is this year's Child Health & Development Fair at the old Taos Elementary School across from the Taos Town Hal, from 8am to 3pm. Free developmental screenings will be provided to children ages 0-5 including vision, hearing, speech and dental checks. No appointments necessary. Fun activities and giveaways for the kids will also be provided.
 
As part of this week's Saturday Explorers, the Taos Country Day School will be putting on a puppet show at twirl at 12 noon, followed by singing by their 1st and 2nd grades students. If you miss the twirl show, they will also be doing a puppet show at the Library at 1.15pm. Call 751 7750 for more details or visit taoscountrydayschool.com for more details.
 
Also on Saturday is the Taos Home and Garden Expo at the Sagebrush Convention Center, and twirl will be there doing a free craft activity from 1-3pm. Come along and design your own canvas bag for Spring!
 
Bring a basket and join us for a colorful Easter Egg Hunt at twirl on Saturday 3rd April. The search will begin at 11.30am sharp. Easter craft activity will also be taking place.
 
Didn't get your fill? Then join in the search for hidden eggs at Kit Carson Park on Sunday 4th April. The fun starts at 1pm. For more info, call 575-758-8398.
 
Love 'Em and Leave 'Em Parents' Night out to benefit the flood victims of Taray, Peru on April 9th, 6.30pm - 9pm at Taos All-Star Gymnastics, 1020 Reed St. For ages 5 and older. Activities, dinner, breakfast and movie. Advance registration is $25 per child, $30 at the door. Early registration recommended. Call 575 758 3200
 
In honor of National Dance Week, Ms Amber of the Taos Youth Ballet is hosting a FREE Dance Fest at twirl from April 26 through May 1st. Designed for ages 5-8 yrs, a different dance or movement class will take place every day between 4 - 4.45pm, followed by a story-telling and craft on Saturday at 11.30. Pre-registration is recommended. Call Angela at 751 1402 for details.
