A warm hello to our readers...
And an even warmer thank you for your continued support in 2009. It was a tough year for many businesses but we managed to finish the year in good health overall. We were delighted to see our twirl community grow, our mailing list double, and many of you join our customer rewards program. The playspace continued to be a big hit and contributed to more than one youngster perfecting their hula- hooping and bicycle-riding over the summer. We partied at the Taos Mountain Music Festival, not to mention at the bash we hosted for the Festival of Wreaths and Trees, and had so much fun that we plan to be out and about even more during 2010. If you have any ideas on where you'd like to see us, please email playspace@twirlhouse.com.
Speaking of bright ideas, it's not just your support we value, your feedback is important to us too. It allows us to develop in the way you would most like to see us grow. To help make twirl an ongoing success in 2010 and a vital part of our community, please take a couple of minutes to complete this short survey of 6 questions. Pretty please! Thank you for your time. We really appreciate it. |

Events In & Around Taos As usual, there are plenty of family-friendly events going on in and around Taos over the next month. We would like you to note one particular event which we hope you will be able to attend or support in some way. It is a Fundraising Event for Carisa Joseph, a local wife and mother of two, who suffered a severe asthma attack about three weeks ago and is currently in a coma-like state at UNM hospital. In an effort to support the family financially with the extensive medical bills they face, a fundraising music extravanganza and silent auction is taking place on Saturday January 30th at the San Geronimo Lodge between 6 - 9.30pm. There is a full program of artists lined up. Full details can be found here on the twirl website.
Here's a round up of some of the other events taking place in Taos for families. Visit our festival and events section for full details of these and other events, and also our ongoing activities section for weekly events in Taos.

........ we're off in search of it this week! The international trade shows are upon us and we'll all set to do some serious scouting. Last year, it was the sparkly magic of our irrestible glitter balls that got everyone excited. Such a great and inexpensive toy for all ages - our holy grail in many respects. We'll be keeping them in mind as we search for this year's great new thing. We'll let you know what we find! |

A palindrome reads the same backwards as forward. This video reads the exact opposite backwards as forward and crucially the meaning is the exact opposite too.
When they showed it, everyone in the room was awe-struck and broke into spontaneous applause. So simple and yet so brilliant. Take a minute to watch it here.
