We
have already had two of the Women Moving Forward ® 30th Anniversary
Celebrations and we are preparing for 4 more in Caracas, Princeton,
Cincinnati and Milwaukee!
In this issue we are sharing some pictures from the first two celebrations in Bhopal, India and Denver, Colorado.
The pictures will also be posted to our website next month along with some video of the first celebration in Denver.
We hope to have pictures for all 6 celebrations on the website by the end of the year.

Hi Susan,
I enjoyed your article on being married for 30 years. Congratulations! Jay and I have been married for 11 years (so not nearly the milestone you have achieved), but very happily married. What I mean is that we still miss seeing each other when he is at work for 48 hours or away from each other for several days. Of course we have our moments of wanting to ring the other's neck, but we work those out and move on. For us, the key has been that we support one another in what the other person wants/needs to do for themselves. We are constantly growing and changing and we support each other in that change - meaning we make the sacrifices. For example, I supported Jay financially to get his Masters degree, he went on to work in that field only to discover he loved the concepts, but the actual work in that industry was boring and he hated it. So we made some financial changes that allowed him to quit and stay home with Sarah until he figured out what he wanted to do. After two years, he decided we wanted to be a career firefighter and that's what he is now. During the fire academy, I was basically a single parent. I didn't bitch to him about how hard it was, he knew what he was asking me do and in turn has given me space to do what I need for me...WMF, the leadership retreat, visiting my sisters etc.
So I guess the bottom line for us is that we support each other with what we need to do for ourselves. So we can take care of ourselves, enjoy our time together and enjoy our family time all because we both feel we can be ourselves and do what we need for our self without being given a guilt trip.
