Thank you for taking the time to read my quick and easy newsletter "Nutrition & Organizing Morsels," which links disorganization to the dramatic effects it has on your nutrition, health, and fitness. 

I am so excited because I want YOU to learn how to be your best at what you do.  If your kitchen is organized, you will reach for healthy food items as opposed to the quick-fix, canned, processed and refined foods with hydrogenated oils, neurotoxins, high fructose corn syrup, and other detrimental ingredients.  The energy you need simply does not exist for you to stay organized and on top of your game with these unhealthy food items going into your mouth!

 

Did you ever think that there's no greater influence on your health and

well-being than the food you put into your mouth 3-plus times a day every day of your life?  

 

Ready for the 5 secrets??

 

1.  Over-the-counter non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID's) damage our gastrointestinal lining, which means you are increasing the permeability of the intestinal lining (thinning the lining) and increasing your chances for autoimmune disorders and secondary illnesses.  Toxins, along with nutrients, absorb into the bloodstream wreaking havoc on the body.

 

Alternative:  For pain and inflammation, try fish oil that is molecularly distilled (and always refrigerated) and also the spice turmeric. These are wonderful alternatives for pain and inflammation.

 

2.  Approximately 70% of your immune system is centered around the gut.  If you have chronic tummy issues, you can automatically tax the immune system as well because they are so closely related.  Recommendation:  Address your stomach issues with a nutrition practitioner!

 

3.  Partially hydrogenated oil, or anything hydrogenated:  Avoid!  These are damaged, refined fats injected with hydrogen to make them a solid fat.  Think of Crisco oil!

 

4.  High fructose corn syrup.  Avoid!  This is a #1 culprit linked to diabetes and obesity.  The body does not know what to do with it!  It is sort of like putting milk in your car instead of oil!

 

5.  Gluten/wheat.  Got gut issues?  Gluten is a pro-inflammatory and causes all sorts of gut problems for 1 out of 3 people.  It is a very hard protein to digest for many; therefore, food can ferment and rot in your system causing constipation, bloating, gas, cramps, and diarrhea.

Nutrition & Organizing Morsel #14: 

 

This month is dedicated to the bachelors in the house!  Hey, guys, when is the last time you invited a date into your home and could actually turn on the lights? 

 

If your home is disorganized, cluttered and, well -- worse -- dirty, your date will most likely say, "See ya"!   What's the impact?  No date, no friendship, no relationship!!! 

 

A space with clutter automatically pulls for failure, and it goes without saying health and then certainly relationship and entertaining are areas that can suffer!

Top 10 Suggestions to Boost Your Immune System:

Here are numbers 8, 9, and 10!

 

8. Employ seasonal detoxifications. Adopt simplified eating habits for a few days at a time and/or bring in some herbs that focus on blood, liver, lymph and bowel cleansing.

 

9. This is the only don't. Everything else is proactive here. But I can't forget to remind you to significantly reduce or eliminate refined sugar. Sugar feeds cancer cells. It also feeds yeast and parasites, and has a tremendous capacity to depress the immune system.

 

10. Take immune-supportive supplements and at least a multiple vitamin mineral with antioxidants. Bring in other antioxidants like lipoic acid and CoQ10. The herb astragalus is very immune-tonifying. Elderberry is great for the onset of colds and flu. The medicinal mushrooms like shiitake, reishi and maitaki mushrooms bring in bioflavonoids. N-Acetyl Cysteine is also great at the onset of colds or flu. It is really immune tonifying. It has an increase on the NK cells. Olive leaf extract is a wonderful product that is anti-viral, anti-fungal and antibacterial. It has the intelligence to seek out and kill the harmful pathogenic bacteria while leaving the beneficial bacteria of our bodies alone. Enjoy probiotics also. Boost the immunity of the gastrointestinal system. It will boost the immunity of your entire body.
