Mike Fay Live: "Climbing Redwood Giants"    
Join naturalist Michael Fay for an exciting presentation on the giant redwoods of coastal California. A former Missouri Botanical Garden botanist and Washington University graduate, Fay returns to St. Louis for the 2011 International Year of Forests.  This presentation will feature an introduction by Fay and showing of "EXPLORER: Climbing Redwood Giants," a National Geographic documentary, which reveals the hidden secrets of these 
magnificent trees.

Join Us for the River des Peres Watershed Coalition's Annual Meeting 

The River des Peres Watershed Coalition will host their annual meeting on Tuesday, December 6th at Schlafly Bottleworks in Maplewood, with cocktails starting at 5:30 and the program at 6:00.  The program will include a presentation from Karla Wilson, Deer Creek Watershed Alliance Project Manager, on the implementation of the  Deer Creek Watershed Plan.  The RdPWC will also give an update on their activities and present the River Hero Award to this year's recipient. So, plan to join us for cocktails and find out who this year's River Hero is!
