12 as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
East and west can never meet. This is a symbolic portrait of God's forgiveness-when he forgives our sin, he separates it from us and doesn't even remember it. We need never wallow in the past, for God forgives and forgets. We tend to dredge up the ugly past, but God has wiped our record clean. If we are to follow God, we must model his forgiveness. When we forgive another, we must also forget the sin. Otherwise, we have not truly forgiven.

John 2:23-
23 Now while he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Festival, many people saw the signs he was performing and believed in his name.t24 But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all people.25 He did not need any testimony about mankind, for he knew what was in each person.
Scary, cause He still does know what is in each one of us. Fortunately for us, He is all about forgiveness and love and grace. Otherwise, we'd be game over. If we let Him in our minds and hearts and let Him takeover, He's not like a puppet master or a dictator. More like a dad that throws his kid up on his shoulders. Or like your mom patiently teaching you how to drive.
