Psalm 7:9

9  End the evil of those who are wicked, and defend the righteous. For you look deep within the mind and heart, O righteous God.

Nothing is hidden from God-this can be either terrifying or comforting. Our thoughts are an open book to him. Because he knows even our motives, we have no place to hide, no way to pretend we can get away with sin. But that very knowledge also gives us great comfort. We don't have to impress God or put up a false front. Instead, we can trust God to help us work through our weaknesses in order to serve him as he has planned. When we truly follow God, he rewards our effort.

Luke 19:45-48

Jesus at the Temple

45 When Jesus entered the temple courts, he began to drive out those who were selling.46 "It is written," he said to them, "'My house will be a house of prayer; but you have made it 'a den of robbers.'"  Jesus was and is very angry with anyone who would try to personally profit from those seeking God.   God's Love is free to us for the asking.  All He wants in return is for us to love Him back.  We show our love for Him by spending time in prayer, reading His book, loving his other children, and letting Him into our hearts - letting Him be the focus and center of our lives.

47 Every day he was teaching at the temple. But the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the leaders among the people were trying to kill him.48 Yet they could not find any way to do it, because all the people hung on his words.

Hang on His Word!   :0)
