Things in the world today are pretty scary.  Prices of everything are going up and our nation is in ever increasing debt.  There seems to be no end to natural and man-made disasters.  Some of my friends and I have been trying to get back to some habits that our previous generations took for granted.  Canning, gardening, long-term food storage.  We are also in a war of ideas in our culture.  Individual liberty with personal salvation versus dependence on our government for "collective salvation."  If you want to learn more about these ideas, reply to this e-mail with your questions.  Remember that God is in charge and He will provide for and protect us according to His will.  I believe that His will for me at this time is to help others prepare for some difficult times ahead.

Remember to pray for those suffering in Japan, for our soldiers, and for all those in such turmoil in the Middle East and Africa.

Jesus loves you and so do I!

Judges 18:24

24  "What do you mean, 'What's the matter?'" Micah replied. "You've taken away all the gods I have made, and my priest, and I have nothing left!"

Micah made idols and hired a priest to run his personal religion. When the men of Dan took his idols and priest, nothing remained. What an empty spiritual condition! An idol is anything that takes God's place in a person's life. (Food, alcohol, drugs, sex, work, money, tv, sports, hunting, fishing, etc.) Some people invest all their energy in pursuing money, success, possessions, or a career. If these idols are taken away, only an empty shell is left. The only way to protect yourself against such loss is to invest your life in the living God, whom you can never lose.

 John 2

1 On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus' mother was there,2 and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding.3 When the wine was gone, Jesus' mother said to him, "They have no more wine."

4 "Woman,t why do you involve me?" Jesus replied. "My hour has not yet come."

5 His mother said to the servants, "Do whatever he tells you."

6 Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons.t

7 Jesus said to the servants, "Fill the jars with water"; so they filled them to the brim.

8 Then he told them, "Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet."
They did so,
9 and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside10 and said, "Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now."

11 What Jesus did here in Cana of Galilee was the first of the signs through which he revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him.

12 After this he went down to Capernaum with his mother and brothers and his disciples. There they stayed for a few days.

Lighthouse Wesleyan Church has service at 9 am and 10:45 this Sunday.  I'd love to see you there!

Anyone interested in organizing a 9/12 Project or TEA party in our area, please contact me.  I have interest and ideas but no time.  We are in a scary time and must get back to God first but we need to understand and support our country as it was originally founded.

Anyone interested in Food Storage, I have some great resources and have lots of food grade buckets I got a great deal on.  Shoot me a reply if interested.
