James 1:12-16 Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he
has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has
promised to those who love him. When tempted, no one should say, "God is
tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt
anyone; but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is
dragged away and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives
birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.
Don't be deceived, my dear brothers.

Wow are we messed up. Because of Adam and Eve's choice to not trust God about the apple, we have a natural tendency to want what isn't good for us. Like fish attracted to the bait of a fishing hook. Even worse, we can't fix this ourselves - only the Love and grace and mercy of God can. He is the Way. Pray that He will give you more Love for Him. Let Him take out the trash of your life. Look away from the bait and look to God!
Isaiah 53:5-6
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was upon him,
and by his wounds we are healed.
6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way;
