The Beatles sang "All ya need is LOVE, All ya need is LOVE, All ya need is LOVE, LOVE, LOVE is all ya need." They were right, they hit on something, but I'm not sure they really understood. It is that very specific Love of Jesus - whether people know it's from Him or not - that really works to fill our hearts. The Love of Jesus satisfies the yearning and emptiness that people try to satisfy with everything else - sex, drugs, rocknroll, power, stuff, money. We can't fully understand or appreciate the Love of Jesus in this fallen world. I think I get close to feeling it when I'm in fellowship with Christian brothers and sisters. I really feel Loved and at home in our Nascar small group, with my Tae Kwon Do family, with the group of brothers and sisters that went to Guatemala, and at Lighthouse Wesleyan Church. Maybe the glimpse of feeling that Love of Jesus from others is the main reason we build churches.
