Questions

We're packing the medical stuff today.  It all seems surreal.  Josh takes his driver's test this afternoon which adds to his increasing nervousness about the trip.  He'd deny it but I know my boy.  The more irritating he is, the more I know he has a lot on his mind.  (Becky probably is saying the same about me!) Please pray for both of us.

Guatemala Countdown
Only 3 Days!
AHHHH!

Thank you and praise God for all of you who have so generously given to the cause!

Incredibly 71 people from both the e-mail ministry, and from Lighthouse Wesleyan Church have contributed $4181.09!  (One guy gave $89.09 for some symbolic reason that I forget.)
With the money raised previously the
Total available for the Medical Mission is: $5281.09!
WOW!
Thanks Be to God!
He has used so many of you in such an awesome way!

We have budgeted $4900.00 for the medical team:

Medicine, Supplies, Equipment - about $2500.00
Travel, Lodging, Food                   about $2400.00
(For Josh and I)                     Donations - $4090.00

Over the Top!

All the "necessities" are covered.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.

With the extra, I got 55 pairs of reading glasses at the Dollar Tree.  The Guatemalan ladies do a lot of weaving and as they get older they can't see what they're doing.  (If I've sutured you, you're probably glad I wore my glasses!)  I also ordered more Antibiotics and Vitamins.  Any of you who would like to see the list of Medicines, Supplies, and other expenses feel free to e-mail me and I'll send it to you.

Thanks again to John Quinlan from Quinlan's Pharmacy in Wayland who has been very generous in getting us the medicines at cost.  Also thanks to Jim Mackenzie and Lori Jones from PSS who have provided supplies and equipment at cost.  May God bless these folks for their sacrifice and efforts.

One of the missionaries I've talked to suggested that we bring along money to pay for transportation of anyone who is critically ill from the remote village to the city hospital.  If the Lord is calling any of you to donate to that fund you can still donate until the day we leave and even after.

Most importantly please pray that we would show the love of Jesus to these desperately poor people.

The Great Commission
Matthew 28:18-20 NIV  Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. (19)  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, (20)  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
