Questions

Anita, my PA, is away this week.  Ouch!  Please pray that God gives me patience (not patients) this week :0)  Meanwhile things are starting to come together for the trip.  I am awed especially by some who have given that I know are struggling financially.  I am reminded of this scripture: Mark 12:41-44 NIV  Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts.  (42)  But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a fraction of a penny.  (43)  Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. (44)  They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything-all she had to live on."
Does Jesus expect us to give all we have?  YES!  Luke 10:27 NIV  He answered: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"
The amazing thing about faith in Jesus is it's not a formula, it's not giving or doing things, it's belonging to Him.  Give yourself to Him and he'll take care of the rest.  Not sure how?  E-mail or call and I'll help you become part of God's family.  He loves you enough to die for you.  I love you too.

Guatemala Countdown
We leave in 11 days!

I am so grateful to those of you who have been so generous.  I know God will bless your sacrifice.

28 people have contributed $1600.00!
Praise God for providing through His people!

We have a budget of about $4900.00 for the medical team:

Medicine, Supplies, Equipment - about $2500.00
Travel, Lodging, Food                   about $2400.00
We have so far received in donations - $2700.00

So we still need to raise about $2200.00 preferably before the 8th of August?!

If 100 of you give $22 we're done.  If 200 of you give $11 we're done.  If more is given than we need we can buy more vitamins for these malnourished people.  We are trying to get a 3 month supply for the 400 people we estimate seeing in the clinic.  6 months would be better since we're not sure when a medical team will return to them!

Please take a moment to pray about whether God is calling you to help.  If, ( AND ONLY IF! ) He is, you can either send a check (see below) or hit the paypal button below and use a credit or debit card.  Even $5 would help.

Most importantly please pray that we would show the love of Jesus to these desperately poor people.

Anyone who would like to donate money for our Guatemala missions trip please send your check payable to Lighthouse Wesleyan Church and write Guatemala in the message line.  Send to : Lighthouse Wesleyan Church
