Guatemala Countdown
We leave in 14 days!
Here is a list of "Goodies" we want to take to the kids:
matchbox cars
Sugar free gum or lollipops
stickers
Nail Polish (No Red)
Hair Bows/Ribbons/Ties/Barretts
Beanie toys or small stuffed animals
Small Hotel sized soaps
Colored Pencils
Pencils
Pencil sharpeners
Paper, Small Tablets
Construction Paper
Children's sandals, flip flops (Crocs are
preferable because of the closedtoe)
Shirts, shorts, other children's clothing
(No military items)
If you would like to contribute any of these items you can bring them to Lighthouse Wesleyan Church this Sunday (e-mail or call if you need directions) or leave them at my office or my house.
Since the 1st "Guatemala Alert" a few days ago, 11 of you have generously donated $490.00 toward medicines, equipment, and other expenses. Praise God and Thank You!
We have a budget of about $4900.00 for the medical team:
Medicine, Supplies, Equipment - about $2500.00
Travel, Lodging, Food about $2400.00
We have so far received in donations - $1430.00
So we still need to raise about $3210.00 preferably before the 8th of August?!
Over 300 people get this e-mail. If each of you gave $10 we'd be all set!
Please take a moment to pray about whether God is calling you to help. If, ( AND ONLY IF! ) He is, you can either send a check or hit the paypal button below and use a credit or debit card. Even $5 would help.
Most importantly please pray that we would show the love of Jesus to these desperately poor people.
