Guatemala Alert We leave in 17 days to minister to the village of Panabar in Guatemala. The trip was originally planned to build a church in the village and this is what my 16 year old son will be doing with a group of Adults and 10 other teenagers. We are working with a Guatemalan ministry called "Impacto." When I inquired about Josh and I going, Chris and Phil Jones (the leaders of the trip) said that they had been praying that a doctor would go along so that they could do some medical work. Well, here we are somewhat frantically planning to do what we can. Apparently the people in these very poor villages just have no money to go to a doctor or a pharmacy. We have had some very generous donations from some of the churches that the Jones' have visited. The medical arm started late and is still in need of funds. We have a budget of about $4900.00 for the medical team: Medicine, Supplies, Equipment - about $2500.00 Travel, Lodging, Food about $2400.00 We have so far received in donations - $1430.00
So we still need to raise about $3500.00 preferably before the 8th of August?!
Please take a moment to pray about whether God is calling you to help. If, ( AND ONLY IF! ) He is, you can either send a check or hit the paypal button and use a credit or debit card. Even $5 would help.
Most importantly please pray that we would show the love of Jesus to those who don't know Him yet.
