Luke 22: 31-34 NIV "Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift you as wheat. (32) But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers." (33) But he replied, "Lord, I am ready to go with you to prison and to death." (34) Jesus answered, "I tell you, Peter, before the rooster crows today, you will deny three times that you know me." We know the rest of the story. Peter does deny knowing Jesus three times to save himself after Jesus was arrested. None of us are immune from turning away from Jesus. We do it when we care more about things of the world than we do our love for Him. We do it when we go along with the culture or the gang so we look cool or so we don't stand out. Peter learned his lesson. After He saw Jesus resurrected He claimed faith even to his death. I challenge myself most of all to honor and praise Jesus in word and deed today. Lord Jesus give us the strength and Power to serve you well today. I hope you said AMEN!
