Josh, Lucas, and I had a great time at Chambers Camp for Men's Adventure Weekend.  Bay Forrest - played in the NBA for the Phoenix Suns - was the speaker.  Lucas challenged Bay to a little one-on-one (see pic below) When men are warriors for Jesus it is very powerful!

The Secret Message of Jesus Cover
Brian Mclaren discusses Jesus' message in a unique way and is especially interesting in describing the Kingdom of God.
Luke 22: 21-30 NIV
But the hand of him who is going to betray me is with mine on the table. (The other gospels make it clear that Judas Iscariot is the one.  See, the other gospels each tell the truth from a different perspective and to a different audience.  Some people try to say that the Bible isn't true because there are some differences in the accounts.  Actually, this makes it more likely to be true since different people see things from different angles and aren't likely to remember things in exactly the same way.) (22)  The Son of Man will go (to the cross) as it has been decreed (both by Jesus during His life and by prophets from centuries earlier, especially Isaiah 53), but woe to that man who betrays him." (23)  They began to question among themselves which of them it might be who would do this. (24)  Also a dispute arose among them as to which of them was considered to be greatest.  (Check out these guys!  Were the disciples some holy characters who we could never be like?  No way, they were regular people like you or me.  Jesus just told them that one of them would betray Him and they start arguing about who would be Jesus' main man when He was King of the world! Talk about your politics.  As usual Jesus is about the straighten them out with some radical differences of leadership in the Kingdom of God in comparison to an earthly Kingdom. (25)  Jesus said to them, "The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them; and those who exercise authority over them call themselves Benefactors. (26)  But you are not to be like that. Instead, the greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the one who rules like the one who serves. (27)  For who is greater, the one who is at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who is at the table? But I am among you as one who serves. (28)  You are those who have stood by me in my trials. (29)  And I confer on you a kingdom, just as my Father conferred one on me, (30)  so that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.  When Jesus proved He was God by allowing Himself to be humiliated and killed then coming back from the dead in victory, He established His Kingdom on earth which consists of all of us who let Him live in us and work through us.  We do this best when our focus is first on Loving Him by serving Him then on loving others by serving others.  This does not come naturally to us, it comes only with a voluntary surrendering of our will to Jesus.  The greatest among us in His Kingdom is the one who serves the best.
