Luke 22: 7-14 NIV Then came the day of Unleavened Bread on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. Click here for Exodus 11:1-12:51 The Passover Story (8) Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, "Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover." (9) "Where do you want us to prepare for it?" they asked. (10) He replied, "As you enter the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. (Usually women carried the water so this guy would have stood out.) Follow him to the house that he enters, (11) and say to the owner of the house, 'The Teacher asks: Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?' (12) He will show you a large upper room, all furnished. Make preparations there." Have you ever had Jesus arrange things for you like this. Is He trying to give you instructions like He gave the disciples but you're not listening? Some people think that God is too busy to work in our lives in what seems to be small ways. That notion is not supported in scripture. Our God has everything covered from the Sun's orbit to your son's teenage issues. Our job is to let Him work out His plan through us. I tend to get in God's way with my own agenda. No fear. He'll help us let go of our stuff if we let Him. He'll only help if we ask Him to. He's not one to force His help on anyone! (13) They left and found things just as Jesus had told them. I imagine the disciples looking at each other and saying, " Wow, just like He said it would be. This Dude is amazing!" (It's proper to capitalize Dude when it refers to the MAIN Dude - Jesus!) So they prepared the Passover. (14) When the hour came, Jesus and his apostles reclined at the table.
