Hope you are doing well.  I continue battling the enemy of busyness.  God is moving in some incredible ways in our church, in my office, in our NASCAR small group, and in our group of Tae Kwon Doe friends.  It's so easy to keep doing things and letting go of time with God and with His Word.  Please keep praying that I would have the strength and discipline to keep Him my first priority.
Love in Jesus,

Luke 20:1-8 NRSV
Luke 20:1-8 NRSV  One day, as he was teaching the people in the temple and telling the good news, the chief priests and the scribes came with the elders  (2)  and said to him, "Tell us, by what authority are you doing these things?  "These things" included driving the merchants out of the Temple (Luke 19:45  Then he entered the temple and began to drive out those who were selling things there; Luke 19:46  and he said, "It is written, 'My house shall be a house of prayer'; but you have made it a den of robbers." )
Who is it who gave you this authority?"  People were spellbound by the teachings of Jesus.  He was clearly a threat to the way of life of the Jewish power structure.  If Jesus said that God had given Him authority in that setting or that He is God, the Priests  would have charged Him with blasphemy and arrested Him right there.  They eventually did that, but it wasn't the God appointed time just yet.  So, Jesus outsmarts them.  (3)  He answered them, "I will also ask you a question, and you tell me:  (4)  Did the baptism of John come from heaven, or was it of human origin?"  (5)  They discussed it with one another, saying, "If we say, 'From heaven,' he will say, 'Why did you not believe him?'  (6)  But if we say, 'Of human origin,' all the people will stone us; for they are convinced that John was a prophet."  (7)  So they answered that they did not know where it came from.  (8)  Then Jesus said to them, "Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things."

Jesus is so cool.  I love Him!  You can't outsmart Him, so don't try.  But we do try - always trying to make our own plans and do things our own way, don't we.  He just wants us to relax and follow Him.  Let Him take the wheel (Just heard Danny Gokey sing that song on "American Idol").  So don't get frustrated tomorrow when things don't go the way you planned them.  You can't outsmart Him.  Let Jesus take over your day, your life, your stuff, your job, your relationships...  All of you.  He loves you and knows what's best, even though it may not seem that way sometimes.

                   Praises and Answers
I praise God for the accountability group of Vaughn, Doug, and myself that He arranged for us.  Men need vital relationships with other Christian men.  This is so cool when it happens.

James 4:10 NIV  Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
