In order to best understand the Heroic Journey, we can study the beginning of humankind and look at the cave drawings and find the stories that reflected the same Heroic Journey we now experience in our lives, literature and movies. These stories are also found in all religious traditions and in our current time, we even see them in video games. The Heroic Journey may be based on fact or fiction, but is used - usually - to inspire and educate us along our path of change and transformation.
