Come join us in the fun for this year's "Sea, Shop, Scarecrow" events as scarecrows invade downtown Madison!
We need your help this Friday night and Saturday morning to create and stuff our inn's scarecrow.
This is your chance to show off your creativity and talents.

* Check in Friday Night, October 7th for a one-night visit - call or email ahead to reserve your room
* Bring some items to add to the scarecrow's costume or props. We'll say "thank you" with a bottle of wine and 10% off your room rate for each item that you contribute, up to three per room.
* We'll get together to make our plan Friday evening, beginning during our wine and cheese reception time, 5-7pm.
Our theme is adventure fun on the shoreline. The Boat Center of Madison has kindly let us borrow a kayak for a prop. We have clothes to stuff and hay will be delivered Saturday morning. We need to make the face and head, stuff and dress the scarecrow kayaker, and add special touches to the kayaker and overall display
* We'll create and stuff our scarecrow Saturday morning right after breakfast and up until noon.
* Our scarecrow will be displayed here on the front lawn of the inn for judging and admiring until the end of the month.
IT'S A TOWN-WIDE CONTEST
* Judging of all the scarecrows will be by on-line public balloting from October 11th-19th (tell all your friends to vote for ours, of course).
* Winners will be announced at the Sea, Shop, Scarecrow "Sip, Shop and Stroll Soiree", 5-8pm, Thursday, October 20th. Come be part of the fun. If our scarecrow wins you'll win too - we'll say Thanks again with a $50 gift certificate that you can use for your next visit.
