Reflecting the true luxury of Capricorne
Brochure design kicks off new branding push

We recently completed a branding brochure for Capricorne Villas, a vacation specialist dedicated to providing private luxury villas in some of the world's most desirable locations. Its spacious villas combines the privacy and space of a large, exclusive home with the comfort and services of a five-star hotel.

Keeping with the impeccable standards set forth by Capricorne we designed a clean, elegant brochure dedicated to showing the benefits of villa vacations and in sharing the experience with loved ones. We highlighted the exterior and interior appointments of the villas along with the many exclusive property amenities.

Leslie DeGoler, Capricorne Villa's VP of Marketing, states, "Nexus did an outstanding job of not only presenting our company's product beautifully, but communicating our brand message so strongly that our CEO refers to the brochure time and again in sales meetings, saying "That's it, right there, that's who we are."  Naturally, it's working wonders with customers too."
Where to spend your marketing bucks.

With company budget cuts and layoffs in the news every day, I did some digging to see where advertisers will be spending their marketing dollars this year.

A report from the Direct Marketing Association states that in 2009 direct marketing will outpace general advertising and is on track to capture 53% of total advertising expenditures. Email marketing will continue to claim the top growth ranking for 2009, while internet advertising will claim more than 15% of all direct marketing advertising dollars.

Many companies will see increased budgets for web site development, internet search engine optimization, online videos, social media, webcasts, banners and sponsorships. In the traditional media arena there will be less growth in direct mail, print, events and telemarketing. As for broadcast and cable networks, it's forecast that advertisers will be cutting back their ad commitments by as much as 50%.
