For Immediate Release:
Tri-C Karters, 2009 Information
December 16, 2008:
Southern California based Tri-C Karters, generally regarded as one of the oldest and most respected IKF Kart clubs in the county, has announced an exciting schedule for the 2009 season.
Tri-C's drivers will compete over a 10 race season championship at three of Southern California's finest and most challenging kart tracks, thus proving that each of Tri-C's 2009 class champions is truly a champion and a master of many tracks.
Tri-C's 2009 club race season will officially begin on Feb 14th as the club returns to the "World Famous Adams Kart Track" for the Feb and March 09 races. The April, May and June events will see Tri-C back at the site of the most recent California State Championship event, Grange Motor Circuit. In July and September, Tri-C and the Los Angeles Kart Club will co-host an unprecedented event; two kart clubs, each hosting their own club race at the same facility on back to back days, at the Cal Speed kart track @ California Speedway in Fontana. This will allow drivers to race an entire weekend at one facility and run two races against what promises to be large classes and tough competition. Hopefully this can help drivers save some time and travel costs as well as other costs in these tough economic times.
Both Tri-C and LAKC have promised to add or adjust their class lines up to accommodate the other clubs drivers, so that drivers can run both days with the same rules. Look for more detailed info on each clubs websites @
www.tri-ckarters.com and www.lakc.org
August will see Tri-C back @ Cal Speed kart track for a stand alone Saturday event. (LAKC Classes as well). For October, drivers will be back @ Adams, and the 10 race season will close out on November 14th, at a location yet to be determined.
Tri-C will conclude its season by hosting the 46th annual California State Championships
NEW for 2009, Tri-C has added two 4 cycle classes. Both Sr and Jr World Formula.
The Kid Karts class has also "graduated" and will become a championship class in 2009.
TaG as well as TaG Masters will be run per the IKF rule book in 2009, with the exception of tire rules that will allow drivers from other clubs/orgs to run with Tri-C without having to buy a one off set of tires just for the day.
