Stronger Families A Year in Review

For our nation, this has been a year of shakeup, a year of changes, an awakening to take nothing for granted.

Some of the lessons are to humble ourselves, put relationships and family first, and put God and others ahead of ourselves. Break free from a consumer identity and life style and choose a relationship identity with an investor life style.

As the year comes to a close, I'd like to take time to communicate with you in reflection on some of the work we've done at Stronger Families, and share with you a vision for 2010.

So this is how it's going to work; the 12 days of Christmas begins December 25.  The following activities are specifically designed to touch the major emotional needs of men and women. Because this is going out to a varied audience, some of these "ideas" may not be the best for you, but it gives you a baseline to create your own wonderful 12 days of Christmas. Start with having both of you give a suggestion for Christmas Day and then alternate Guys / Ladies through the 12 days.

Remember the Military this Christmas Season
By Jimmy Collins

The holiday season in December is especially important and memorable for American military families.  Whether they are celebrating Christmas, Hanukah, or Kwanza, the thoughts of the family turn to family, friends, and roots.

Family and friends are the essence of the holiday memories and seasonal heritage of most service members.  Even so the reality of combat deployments and other unaccompanied assignments often leads to physical separation from most family and many friends...
