The Incredible Plant Stand!

Dear Friends,

It's hard to believe it's that time of year again! In only 8 short days we will be gathering for Christmas Eve services and the following morning for Christmas Day services. The packages will have have been wrapped and carefully placed under the tree. I feel certain that our little chi-weiner, Lucy, will have hidden a bone under there, too! The turkey will be in the oven while we head out to worship. All that we have been feverishly preparing for will hopefully be in place for the biggest family day of the year. It is my most favorite time of the year and I truly do my best to make it as stress free as possible.

I've had a great time this fall making ornaments with the Incredible Porch/Tree hanger. There are pictures below with brief descriptions. I wanted to share them with you even at this late date. While it isn't too late to order, we must face the facts that time is short, so if you are wanting gifts for someone you should go directly to my website TODAY and get your order in. We are current in shipping and should be able to ship immediately! Click here to order.

These pictures will also be posted on the web site shortly and the instructions will be in the Member's Area for you to print for your books and future use. Instructions will not be available until after the first of the year as I'm a little behind, but they will be there shortly. If you are not a member and would like to be, please go here to join.

Now, enjoy the photos below and be inspired!

Hanger-1

Hanger I

This looks really hard, but trust me, it isn't. Incorporating unusual shapes and different design features makes for a more interesting piece, don't you think?

Two ornaments and a basket with garland and bows between really change things up. Learn to express yourself. Even if you can't tie a bow, premade bows are available! All of these hangers were completed within one hour.

Go in the opposite direction with two baskets and an ornament. Use gold ribbon instead of red and completely change the look of the ornament! All of the items on all hangers came from my local craft store, discount stores, and garden stores. I make it a habit to not rule out any source. You never know what you might find!

This one currently hangs on my front porch. Attaching the berries and garland in between the ornaments with cable ties holds everything in place so it doesn't slip, yet allows me to disassemble easily should I want to use this hanger in the spring for my pots.

This was one of my favorites. The little box ornaments came from Hobby Lobby and while they were a little more that other ornaments I just waited until they were on sale. All of the ornaments should be hung in a protected area if hanging them outside, ie. a covered porch. Hanging them in the trees allows weather and birds/squirrels to damage your work.

Wire baskets are always easy to use whether you are using our hanger or our plant stand. Why? Because they already have holes and that means no drilling! These baskets have lids that open so you can stuff them with whatever you like, from smaller ornaments to flowers. I used garland. Again, use cable ties to hold the boxes at an angle. These ornaments are light when finished, so be sure to hang them where they won't bump anything should the wind blow. If you use heavier pieces, the less it will blow.

Here's a beautiful red and silver hanger. Again, the basket can be filled and the large ornament can be drilled so that it sits more at an angle.

Hanger 8
Red/Gold Hanging Ornament
Here's one from last year. Even without the added extras it's still a beautiful accent piece for your porch or entry. These are light enough to hang in a window, too. To add even more sparkle, wrap with twinkle lights. I've had so many compliments on the pieces I made and have enjoyed hearing your suggestions on how to improve. We have inspired each other!

Hanger 9

Purple Ornament
Another example from last year, this purple and silver piece is quite striking. While not colors I would choose, many people like to change up tradition with their own touches, making their creations one of a kind. I know that some of you have used this particular design for Mardi Gras, too! (That's right around the corner!) Whatever the ocassion, a hanger can easily fill a decorating space with little effort.

So, that's it! Wasn't it fun? I'll do my best to get the instructions and pictures onto the web site as soon as possible. Don't forget to take pictures of anything you create. You never know when another contest will come around the corner.

Blessings to you and your families! Have a great Christmas and stay peaceful!

Sincerely,
