I know it's been awhile since I've sent out a newsletter, and I've got one in progress about boosting immunity naturally, especially through Sheng Zhen Qigong. But it will have to wait. I just received something in my inbox that I feel passionate about and compelled to share, here and now.

As many of you know, I was in a nearly fatal car accident when I was 16. In college, I based most of my studies around understanding and making sense of what had happened and what was still happening. One of my projects involved interviewing other car accident survivors. One of those survivors was a fellow student at Hampshire College, Sam Morris.

Sam was paralyzed from the waist down and has quite a story about his rehabilitation through Continuum Movement. If you have ever seen Emilie Conrad's Continuum DVD's, Sam is in them. Although Continuum didn't get him walking again, the movement it brought into his body was amazing. And now Sam's amazing story continues as he's found a facility that has helped spinal chord injured people walk again.

Please read his email below. And if you're moved to do so, please check out his album and/or spread the word.

Sincerely,
Rebecca

Sam's Message
Sam Morris Chasing Miracles

Hello, my friends.

I have some wonderful news to share. As most of you know, I was paralyzed from the waist down in a car accident caused by a drunk driver ten years ago. It has been by far the most intense decade of my life. I have always believed that someday I would walk again, but I never knew when or how. I am now much closer to knowing. I recently found out about a rehabilitation facility near San Diego called Project Walk that works specifically with spinal cord-injured people. They have devised a method to retrain the paralyzed body to move again, and several of their clients have walked. I am starting their program on November 30.

Getting these legs that have sat silently in a wheelchair for ten years to walk again is going to be extremely challenging, but not impossible. Some of you know that I recently released an album called "Chasing Miracles," which shows my conviction to rise above and go beyond the impossible. It is very likely that this will involve years of hard work, and lots of money to pay for the workouts (insurance will not cover any of the program).

My hope is to raise money though the sales of "Chasing Miracles" to help pay for some of the initial costs. If you don't already have a copy of the CD, then I encourage you to go to my website (http://sammorris.net/), where there will be links for buying the hard copy or getting it from iTunes. We're not talking about a lot of money. The CD itself is $8, and if you buy it from iTunes, it's only $4.95. If you do already have a copy, then please consider buying it as a gift to someone for the holidays.

Also, as always, ten percent of the proceeds will go to Wounded Warrior Project, which helps veterans disabled in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Thank you all very much in advance. I will make sure to keep you posted about my progress. Please pass this message on to anyone you feel may also want to help.

This link - http://sammorris.net/ will take you to my website.

Wishing you all great health and peace of mind.

- Sam
