LinkAmerica sponsors the Border Sheriff's Posse to "ride" the U.S. borders in intercession and to "pardner" with intercessors around the United States to protect the 26 counties along the US/Mexico border.  It is critical that we take our place on this fence.  If you are new to the Posse, WELCOME!  Please read the information at the bottom of this email so you will know what to expect.

CRY OUT FOR THE BORDERS
 
In a letter dated 02.22.06, I included a word the Lord gave to one intercessor, and the same word was included in the Border School Invitation.  Since it is the cry of the Lord in me, I have not been able to get away from it... "Speak warning, for all will be exposed that has been hidden - mighty men and women in all walks of life will be exposed, that My light may shine into ALL darkness and the captives set free, for where My Spirit abides there is freedom.  The borders, the borders, cry out to the borders.  'Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, desolation nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shall call thy walls Salvation and thy gates Praise.'  Isaiah 60:18   SPEAK TO THE HEARTLAND, 'Arise, be strong, DO NOT ALLOW THE BORDERS TO COLLAPSE.  Strengthen from within, strengthen My people and My Kingdom believers FOR GREAT IS THE PRESSURE THAT WILL COME TO BEAR ON THE BORDERS.'"  This word concluded, "Is America ready to do what it takes to secure our borders?"
 
Over the past few days as we have been inundated with the flood of news about the Swine Flu and the constant talk about our borders, I have experienced waves of gratitude for the Watchmen who have responded to the Lord's call to the borders of this nation during the past several years.  Many are awake, alert and "at the ready" for battle.
 
THE LORD, WHO IS MY REFUGE
 
With the continuous stream of news about a possible Swine Flu "pandemic," much fear is being "created" and spread abroad.  As I asked the Lord about it, He gently whispered a passage from Psalm 91.  "Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil will befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling."  How precious it has been for me to be reminded that when Sam and I began New Day Ministries International 10 years ago the Lord led me to place a scripture picture of Psalm 91 in our entryway.  I knew it was to be our "end-time" Psalm.  I have paused to be reminded and to let the truth of the words seep deep within my spirit once more... "For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways... "
 
SCOPE OF SWINE FLU
 
According to news reports, it appears Swine Flu has peaked in Mexico.  One important thing for us to realize is that the alarming news about a possible pandemic is more about the widespread scope than about the severity.  There probably will not be thousands of deaths as in past pandemics.  In the U.S. it looks much like the seasonal flu. 
 
MY HEART CRIES FOR MEXICO

The nation of Mexico is already facing great instability, and I wonder how much more they can withstand.  As the news of a 5.6 magnitude earthquake in Mexico City this week was causing people to run into the streets in panic, I felt the Spirit of the Lord within me weeping for Mexico.  The Swine Flu alone is estimated to cost the nation $13 billion in tourist economy.  No cases of Swine Flu have been confirmed in Juarez as of now, yet the schools, restaurants, gyms, bars and government buildings remain closed.  In fact, all government offices in Mexico are closed through May 6.  The U.S. owns much of Mexico's debt, and any failure on their part will greatly affect us.  It would be difficult to secure the borders if their economy ever truly collapsed. 
 
BORDER SCHOOL UPDATE
 
The preparations for Border School are well under way, and each day new pieces of the puzzle are put into place.  The Lord has beautifully orchestrated who each presenter is to be.  In one case, I was certain we needed particular information from one source, and when I discovered that could not happen, someone even more qualified came to my attention.  I believe the Lord is wanting to use each puzzle piece of information we learn from Border School to create a picture that will help us unravel "hidden treasures of darkness." 
 
For those of you coming, there are 10 days left to send or e-mail your registration forms.  Many have verbally committed and have made travel reservations but as yet have not returned their forms. 
 
AND GIVE YOU PEACE
 
"May the Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace."  Numbers 6:24-26
 
Lord, we call Your word from the Book of Leviticus (Levites) 26:11-12 to come to pass in our midst.  "Set Your Tabernacle among us... You, our God, walk among us... and we will be Your people... "

ABOUT THE BORDER SHERIFF'S POSSE
Welcome to the Posse.  You won't be flooded by email, but I periodically send specific information and prayer points.  We support ALL law enforcement agencies, pray that illegal activity will be stopped (drugs, human trafficking, etc.) and declare that those who are slipping across America's borders with the intent to cause harm be exposed and apprehended.  This is not about politics!  This is about the protection of the United States of America.  I was visiting with a prophetic intercessor who did not know about the Border Sheriff's Posse when she pointed her finger and said, "And right now God is pinning badges on hidden intercessors.....like a Sheriff's badge," and, with that, she poked her finger into my shoulder!   
 
Are you one of those being "deputized by 'The Sheriff' to aid in law enforcement?"  Will you join me as we ride with the Lord, our Border Sheriff?  We'll "ride" the fence.  We'll catch rustlers, mend spiritual fences and sing some great trail songs along the way as we worship over our borders.
