Border Sheriff's Posse
Posse BadgeFor nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light.    Luke 8:17

LinkAmerica sponsors the Border Sheriff's Posse to "ride" the U.S. borders in intercession and to "pardner" with intercessors around the United States to protect the 26 counties along the US/Mexico border.  It is critical that we take our place on this fence.

I periodically send specific information and prayer points.  We support ALL law enforcement agencies, pray that illegal activity will be stopped (drugs, human trafficking, etc.) and declare that those who are slipping across America's borders with the intent to cause harm be exposed and apprehended.  This is not about politics!  This is about the protection of the United States of America.

I was visiting with a prophetic intercessor who did not know about the Border Sheriff's Posse when she pointed her finger and said, "And right now God is pinning badges on hidden intercessors.....like a Sheriff's badge," and, with that, she poked her finger into my shoulder!

Are you one of those being "deputized by 'The Sheriff' to aid in law enforcement."  Will you join me as we ride with the Lord, our Border Sheriff?  We'll "ride" the fence.  We'll catch rustlers, mend spiritual fences and sing some great trail songs along the way.

Please e-mail LinkAmerica@sbcglobal.net to join the Posse.

BORDER SHERIFF'S POSSE                                                   08.04.08

Dear Posse,

THRESHOLD OF END-TIME DRAMA

These are the most sober of times.  We are living on the brink of _ _ __ (you can fill in the blanks).  Potential economic collapse is always "in the air."  Are we about to go to war with Iran?  Some of our little children are being taught homosexuality from the earliest days of public school.  Today - gay marriage.  Tomorrow - polygamy?  Immigration reform has completely polarized Congress.  The North American Union marches forward as our constitution is being shredded.  And some prayer people are going around declaring borders will be torn down.

Because I am always on alert for what might be coming, I see one piece of information and yet I am really "seeing" another.  On 08.01.08 the El Paso Times headline read, "Guard Unit Practices Riot Control."  I "saw" a picture of what the troops will look like if the "perfect storm" arises and we are under martial law.  It could happen because of a threat from without (hence we desperately need help with border issues); a "natural" disaster like Katrina - I hope you heard about the police who went door to door collecting the guns of people who were trying to stay behind and guard their homes only to be followed by gangs who raided their homes; crisis and chaos caused by food shortages and economic collapse; or a new strain of the flu that does not respond to vaccines.

When I fellowship with a dear friend here, our conversation regularly turns to our gratitude for the things so often taken for granted in our society.  We smile as we share how grateful we are for every single time we freely enjoy a hot shower or flush a toilet, go to the grocery store and find food on the shelves, pay a bill or make a phone call.  We both share a concern that in the midst of crisis people will not be able to care for their animals and we will see them roaming the streets looking for food.

For some time now the cry of my heart is this:  "Lord, if we are not going to be allowed to prevent the North American Union, what can we do?  What should we do?  How can we live and function in this society with Your blessing and as much peace as possible, given all that is going on in our world?"

And most importantly, how can we experience the 1 Tim 2 "peaceable life in all godliness and reverence, which is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, Who desires ALL MEN TO BE SAVED AND COME TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH?"

Principle of Concentration

There is a principle of war called Concentration, where focus is concentrated at decisive points to win strategic battles that can turn the outcome of an entire war.

For some time the Lord has been highlighting decisive points where we are to concentrate our focus.  I have diligently tried to assimilate them into my heart and spirit so they are a part of me when I convey them to you.

Over the next few days/weeks I will be explaining the "decisive points," which include the California marriage amendment, the immigration crisis, the Columbianization of Mexico, the "abandonment" of law-enforcement on our southern border, standing WITH the law-enforcement community, etc.

Key Decisive Point

The Body has strong leadership in the battle against abortion, and I know we are all 100 % committed to that fight.  Please be aware that, though this is not one of the decisive points I will be conveying, I am aware it is probably the key decisive point.  I thank the Lord He has His people firmly in place and will raise up others as He sees fit.
IN THE MEANTIME

Mexico's slayings continue to set records and the drug war rages.  Think 600 (double for this time last year) in Juarez and nearly 6000 in the nation of Mexico.

Targeting Politicians

Cartels have begun targeting politicians to influence new levels of Mexico's political structure.  Recently a sign was hung in the little community of Delicias, state of Chihuahua, bordering Texas, which read, "Mr. Governor, put things in order or we will kill your family."  The mother of Gov. Jose Reyes Baeza lives about 200 yards from where the banner was posted.

Military Abuses

Border towns that once welcomed Mexican soldiers to stop the wave of drug violence are beginning to protest as the soldiers themselves are now being accused of turning violent.  Human rights groups have detailed military abuses and people are begging President Calderon to protect them from the soldiers.

One migrant was mistakenly identified as a drug runner, and soldiers are accused of shoving splinters of wood under his fingernails and toenails,
then putting a tube down his throat to force him to drink alcoholic beverages before leaving him passed out in desert in the state of Sonora, near Arizona.

Soldiers are also accused of using electric shock on the testicles of two men and on the stomach of a third man while troops searched their homes.

The shift in public opinion threatens to undermine Calderon's nationwide crackdown.

Increase in Political Asylum Applications

A newspaper reporter and his teen-age son from the small town of Ascension, Chihuahua, are among the more than 60 Mexican citizens who have asked for political asylum at El Paso region border crossings since last Oct.  He claims that Mexican army officials targeted him because he wrote about allegations of crimes by soldiers.  He believes returning to Mexico would bring certain death not only for himself but also for his 15 yr. old son.  Mexico has been labeled the deadliest country in the Americas for journalists.

Political refugees have to prove they would be persecuted in their country because of their race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group or political opinion.

Attorney Carlos Spector, states, "The basic problem is the US won't denounce it (persecution) because Mexico is an ally and they won't admit the level of corruption and persecution that exists."

The number of Mexicans seeking political asylum will continue to grow as they flee the violent crime-wave in Mexico.

Police Officers Lead Hit Squads

Twice this week a Juarez police officer has been arrested for leading a hit squad or gang of kidnappers that killed other officers.

US Citizens Affected By Violence

A family trip to Mexico ended tragically as robbers tried to stop a car on the Durango-Mazatlan road known as "El Espinazo del Diablo," (the devil's spine).  The robbers opened fire and two adults were wounded.  Two teen-agers were not hurt, but an 11 yr. old El Paso boy was shot in the head and killed.

Sunday afternoon, Aug. 3, a 21 yr. old woman was shot in the head in Mexico and rushed by ambulance from the bridge to an El Paso hospital in critical condition.

Derecho de Pizo

On 07.06.08 a UTEP professor described a dangerous trend.  "If you are doing an illlegal business in Juarez, the cartels want you to pay them for protection or 'derecho de pizo', that is the right to use the plaza (market or square), as they call it to do business."

Kidnappings in Mexico

Prominent families and entrepreneurs in Juarez, MX are being asked to pay a "quota" for protection, similar to the "war tax" levied by drug traffickers on businesses in Nuevo Laredo during the turf war there, according to a YouTube.com message.   There is an increase in people moving to the US, sometimes even moving their businesses across the border.  The fear of kidnapping has created a much greater fear than the fear of being caught in the crossfire of the cartels.

Kidnappings In Atlanta, Georgia, USA

Atlanta DEA Field Director Rodney Bensen talked on the July 29 Glenn Beck television show about the 9 kidnappings so far this year in Atlanta.  In the most recent case a drug dealer was lured to meet Mexican drug suppliers.  Seven armed men pulled him into the garage and beat him.  The victim was taken to the basement where they cuffed him and then placed duct tape over him, including his nose.  When he was rescued by DEA after a week he was severely dehydrated.

Bensen said, "We're seeing younger and younger individuals being deployed by Mexican cartel leadership up into the US to work for the cartels."

The US Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia, David E Nehmias, was quoted as saying, "We are about to see the extreme violence that is happening south of the border happen here in America."

Glenn Beck, "The violence south of the border is off the charts.  It is more violent there than it is in Baghdad or Afghanistan - they are beheading people.  Do you believe this is the kind of violence that is coming our way if we don't do something?"

According to Bensen, "We're aggressively attacking that problem.  Clearly Mexican drug trade organizations are the dominant force that we're facing in the metro area.  They are responsible for the lion's share of cocaine and methamphetamines, marijuana and black tar heroin distributed here.  It's coming to Atlanta and going up the eastern seaboard.  It's a challenge for us.  They're getting more sophisticated - they're absolutely armed to the teeth - AK 47's and other weapons."

Glenn continued,  "They are targeting this county because this is a large Hispanic community and these drug gangs are trying to blend in.  What is the community reaction?  Are they standing up or are they afraid?"

DEA Agent Bensen, "They're targeting multiple counties, the metro Atlanta area, and now we're seeing it in a big way in North Carolina."
THE FINAL SEASON

While returning from the Texas Sheriffs' Assoc. Annual Training Conference in San Antonio on July 22, the Lord gave me the words, "The Final Season."  He has spoken to me about Psalm 1 seasons since 1984 when He told me Sam and I would be prepared all of our lives to bear fruit for Him late in our lives.  He also told me a few years ago that my season will be when this land is in winter season.  I have had much intercession for those He has been preparing for the "winter" season in the United States.

This makes me think of the apostle Paul when he was in prison, as recorded in 2 Timothy 4:21.  Luke was still with Paul, but everyone else had gone away.  Paul needed Timothy to bring Mark, along with Paul's coat, books and parchments, but clearly he was longing to see Timothy, as he wrote, "Do your utmost to come before winter."

The longing for his friend seems strong as I consider Paul's request.  My own spirit is longing for "Winter Friends."  It is time for those whose season is winter to come fully into their place.

Please join me in asking Holy Spirit to help each one who might still need to come into their place to be ready for the approaching winter.

The most exciting days of HIS story are about to be written.  We are on the threshold of end-time drama.

Please join me in releasing this call.

COME BEFORE WINTER

Pam

PS On Wednesday at 10 AM, I'll attend the sentencing hearing of the drug smuggler in the Ramos-Compean case.
