For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light. Luke 8:17 LinkAmerica sponsors the Border Sheriff's Posse to "ride" the U.S. borders in intercession and to "pardner" with intercessors around the United States to protect the 26 counties along the US/Mexico border. It is critical that we take our place on this fence. I periodically send specific information and prayer points. We support ALL law enforcement agencies, pray that illegal activity will be stopped (drugs, human trafficking, etc.) and declare that those who are slipping across America's borders with the intent to cause harm be exposed and apprehended. This is not about politics! This is about the protection of the United States of America.
I was visiting with a prophetic intercessor who did not know about the Border Sheriff's Posse when she pointed her finger and said, "And right now God is pinning badges on hidden intercessors.....like a Sheriff's badge," and, with that, she poked her finger into my shoulder! Are you one of those being "deputized by 'The Sheriff' to aid in law enforcement." Will you join me as we ride with the Lord, our Border Sheriff? We'll "ride" the fence. We'll catch rustlers, mend spiritual fences and sing some great trail songs along the way.
Please e-mail LinkAmerica@sbcglobal.net to join the Posse. Pam Faraone LinkAmerica

Border Sheriff's Posse 06.01.08
|
Dear Posse, There are so many urgent situations facing our nation, and the Border Sheriff's Posse letter is one of the vehicles used to assimilate (digest, absorb and incorporate) and disseminate (to scatter widely as in sowing seed, to spread abroad) information. |
Juarez Bloodshed Continues
From Thurs AM to Fri PM last week, 18 slayings...some riddled with bullets, cut down while walking into a business or driving...some captured and tortured (one body missing eyes and had chunks of hair pulled out)...sometimes messages are left on bodies signed by "La Linea" (a line of corrupt police officers who protect drug traffickers) or the Juarez drug cartel...some victims are referred to as "traitors'" for apparently joining the Sinaloa cartel headed by Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman (who walked out of a "maximum security" prison and escaped in 2001)...2008 death toll now over 400 (300 for all of 2007).
Internet Threat
An e-mail had circulated all around the region a week ago warning that the Memorial Day week-end would be the "bloodiest and deadliest" in the city's history. The shootings and executions throughout the city were being called "La Limpia" (the cleansing) in response to threats by the Juarez cartel or "La Linea." At least 25 were executed that week-end.
Another Threat
A cardboard note left outside the Juarez paramilitary police offices on Sat AM stated, "Para los que faltan," or "For those who are left." Members of the department's Delta unit, which consists of paramilitary police officers, work the night shift. The first police hit list was found in January at a police memorial, and another was sent to members of the Juarez media in February. Breaking news Tuesday noon - another police hit list has been left at an abandoned police station, which concludes, "Thank you for waiting."
Brazen Cartels
Cartels across Mexico have been launching brazen attacks, beheading police and killing soldiers in response to a military and federal police crackdown. Since taking office in 2006, President Felipe Calderon has sent more than 25,000 soldiers to drug hot spots. Shootouts occur almost daily, especially along the US border and in other states where the cartels have a strong presence. The freedoms the Mexican people are giving up for some security correlate to the freedoms we have lost since 9-11. Continual trade-offs.
El Paso Times Series
If any of you want to follow along, beginning Sunday, June 1, 2008, the El Paso Times is presenting a 6 part series that will "help us begin connecting the dots in a way that will explain why the story is important to all of us and what can be done about it."
A Bloody Spring
Last Wed. morning UTEP hosted a forum on Juarez violence called "Colloquium-A Bloody Spring." The panel consisted of 2 professors, the special agent of the regional security office for the US Consulate General, the Mexican consul of political affairs and border issues as well as our El Paso County Sheriff Jimmy Apodaca. While much of the discussion covered views we hear a lot on the border, including the need for money for substance abuse programs; stopping weapons trafficking into MX; legalizing drugs in the US; increased awareness of the violence on both sides of the border; militarization of the border; chip technology for guns; and reducing US consumption, one UTEP professor pictured 3 possible scenarios for us. First, MX President Calderon could succeed in ending the drug trafficking business. In that case, Columbian cartels would already be looking for new routes - like China or other Asian nations - to smuggle drugs into the US, the prized market.
Second, Calderon could decide the cartels are impossible to fight and make concessions for peace. He could let it be known that certain corridors will be available for the traffickers as long as there are no visible bodies left along the way. Ultimately the middle class wants peace. There will be some pockets of law and order and some pockets of extreme violence and poverty. Third, Mexico could become a failed state, completely unable to take care of her people. It's interesting that even this professor refers to Mexico as a state, which is how the globalists want us to think. Our nations are becoming as individual states with one sovereign government, a system of federalism. |
The Real Problem
Through so many different views it was pretty clear there was general agreement about something. One panelist stated that the real problem in MX is corruption and MX is not equipped to fight it. The corruption issues are at local and state levels so the feds haven't stepped in. It is not clear who has the jurisdiction to fight generations of corruption.
Mexican Military
One thing seems clear - the military is in Juarez and other border towns because that is the best option for LAW AND ORDER. In a recent guest column in the El Paso Times, Kay Bailey Hutchison referred to the narco- traffickers and warring cartels being "in a concerted effort to destabilize the (MX) government...actively targeting and assassinating law enforcement officials, terrorizing communities and bringing a new level of barbarism to their tactics."
The Merida Iniative
In a previous Posse letter I shared the view of the Texas Border Sheriffs' Coalition regarding the Merida Iniative (named for the town in MX where it was first discussed by Presidents Bush and Calderon). Among those who believe the aid package should be given to Mexico is New Mexico Gov. Richardson, who this past week traveled to Mexico City to meet with four US and 6 MX border governors and President Calderon to discuss key border issues including security (the lack of which will provide the necessary momentum to further the North American Union's plan to integrate, i.e. the "Security and Prosperity Partnership"), immigration and compliance with "international agreements."
San Diego
The New York Times (05.27.08) posted a major story about border agents in San Diego being lured and corrupted by the other side. Go to NY Times to see video segment. PBS also aired a show about US Customs agents on the take in San Diego. We meet the god of mammon (the god of this world) at every turn in this war.
Mend Spiritual Fences
This phrase, which I first used in the invitation to join the Posse, has called out to me almost audibly for months. I have kept a file of information that I believed we would one day need to address in prayer in order to mend fences. Along with that, the Lord has highlighted a book I bought for my husband years ago. It's called Border, by Leon Metz, a wonderful historian and local celebrity. I have great respect for his work and have enjoyed visiting with him on a couple of occasions. I will regularly include the topic, Mend Spiritual Fences, in the Posse letters. Sometimes there will be random bits of information, and sometimes I will cover historical events. Most of the time these events will have caused a breach between the US and MX or created a faulty foundation that was built upon by either nation. One example occurred years ago in a small Texas town. A rancher's wife was raped and murdered. The town people immediately assumed a young Mexican ranch hand was guilty. They took the law in their own hands and hanged him. This event left a festering sore.
Not all of the offensive situations that have happened along the borders have left wounds which need to be healed, so we need the Lord's guidance. Also, I do not assume these topics have never been addressed, but since the Lord often works in layers I would like us to see if He has anything to share with us about them. I welcome anything you might want me to consider including in this topic, so please share as you are led. Also, some may want to keep the information in this section and record anything the Lord shows you. It could be that in the future we will host a call or plan some other avenue to address some of this together. Here We Go! The first faulty foundation... Father Junipero Serra, who established the mission that became the foundation for the settlement of San Diego (as well as other CA missions), practiced personal flagellation, including burning his flesh with torches and striking himself with stones. This is a foundation of the "sacrifice of man," or man being able to "earn" his own way to heaven, thereby negating the need for Jesus' death on the cross. If any of you know or are shown anything specific about this, please consider sharing with me, and with the Posse. May the Lord bless you and keep you "until we meet again." Pam | |
