The Downtown Bozeman Partnership presented three awards at the 6th Annual Downtown Breakfast held Friday, May 13, 2011 with approximately 100 people in attendance at the Baxter Hotel.

First 2011 Downtown Bozeman Art Walk 

Art Walk 2011

The Downtown Bozeman Association, Downtown Bozeman art galleries, and retailers and the Emerson Center for Art and Culture are proud to present this summer's Downtown Bozeman ArtWalks. The ArtWalks occur on the 2nd Friday of the month June through September from 6 to 8PM in Downtown Bozeman. This year's gracious sponsors are: The Bozeman Daily Chronicle, Insty Prints, First Security Bank, 95.1 "The Moose", The Bozone and The Gallatin Art Crossing.  The businesses and galleries generally feature artists' openings and receptions during the event and often provide complimentary hors d'oeuvres and refreshments.  This year's Art Walk dates are: June 10, July 8, August 12, September 9. Announcing 2011 Music on Main Lineup

 

The Downtown Bozeman Association is proud to present the 11thAnnual Music on Main summer concert series this summer in Historic Downtown Bozeman.  Music on Main will be located on Main Street from Rouse Avenue to Black Ave. The fun will last from 6:30 PM till 8:30 PM on Thursday evenings from June 30to August 18. 

 

Bring the kids from 6:30 PM to 8 PM for planned activities with Kenyon Noble's Junior Carpenter program, First Security Bank, Children's Museum, Air Time Inflatables and more in front of First Security Bank.  Grab a bite to eat from one of our food vendors that will be located along the south side of Main Street east of the Bozeman Avenue intersection, stop by some of our local non-profit booths for information about their great organizations or step into a few of the Downtown stores that stay open late! Downtown Happenings June 2011


There are always new things happening in the Downtown Bozeman area. Whether it's a new business opening, an existing business remodeling or just a simple update, I want to keep you informed about what going on in downtown Bozeman!  This Spring Downtown Bozeman welcomes 4...count em' 4 new businesses.

The Community Food Co-op Takes on Downtown

After 33 years in Bozeman, the Community Food Co-op opens in the heart of Downtown.  With the addition of the Co-op Downtown location, The Community Food Co-op now runs 5 buildings including the 2 retail locations at 908 West Main and downtown at 44 East Main, as well as an office building just across the West Main location's parking lot referred to as the "Clubhouse", the Main Administration Office or "The MO" on 8th and Babcock and the "Central Kitchen" on 8th and Main where most of their bread is baked and many of the other tasty goodies are prepared.  According to Kelly Wiseman, General Manager, "having access to all of these facilities gives us a definite advantage." Sloppy Dawgs, Now Open

Sloppy Dawgs LogoJimmy Monteleone has been working in fine dining for over 15 years but is excited to bring Bozeman his casual family-oriented restaurant concept that, according to Jim is, "a sloppy joes place that has really good footlongs."  Jim recalls a footlong stand in his hometown of Meadville, PA that began serving homemade sloppy joes and once they got too popular, owner Eddie decided to top his traditional footlong with the tangy mixture...a combination Jim never forgot. Yoga That's For You

Crystal Slater has spent the last 10 years making the Bikram style of yoga her life by obtaining her certification in 2007 and then teaching in Maui, HI before moving to Bozeman two years ago.After her few months here teaching at the Bikram Yoga studio and then working at Plonk in Downtown Bozeman, Crystal had planned to move to New Zealand and unexpectedly met a guy named Scott. They began dating and she decided to stay in Bozeman and use her passion for yoga and her Bikram training to open her own studio named Your Yoga now open at 27 East Main.Which according to Crystal is, "Affordable yoga for everyone." Revised BT studio logoOver the past year, things have been changing and growing inside McPhie Cabinetry, a longstanding kitchen and bathroom design company located at 435 East Main Street. 

BT Studio now joins the talented group of artisans at their collaborative downtown location at 453 East Main Street. BT Studio is a full service architectural design practice featuring Brian Brothers AIA with partner Merle Adams, founder of Big Timberworks of Gallatin Gateway.  For 10 years, Brian has been working with Big Timberworks to bring their clients highly crafted timber homes and furniture specializing in sustainability and customer service.
