Downtown Partnership Annual Awards
The Downtown
Bozeman Partnership presented three awards at the 5th Annual
Downtown Breakfast held Thursday, April 1, 2010 with approximately 140 people
in attendance at the Emerson
Cultural Center. The nominees and
recipient for each of the 3 awards were selected by the Downtown Bozeman Association
board, Business Improvement District board and Tax Increment Finance board.
The Downtown
Cornerstone Award recognizes a business that serves as an anchor to the
downtown community not only economically, but socially, culturally and
civically. The business has demonstrated
a long-standing commitment to downtown by sponsoring downtown events, supporting
the member organizations of the Downtown Bozeman Partnership, while being an
exemplary business leader.
The 2010 recipient
of the Downtown Cornerstone Award is Heeb's East Main Grocery.
The Downtown
Community Award acknowledges a business or organization that has provided
exemplary support of downtown Bozeman. This entity recognizes that the city of Bozeman and the entire Gallatin Valley
benefits from a thriving downtown, and therefore, they have assisted the
Downtown Bozeman Partnership in its efforts to promote and enhance the
community's historic core. The 2010 recipient
of the Downtown Community Award is the City of Bozeman.
The "Life is
Downtown" Award honors a person who has given a veritable lifetime of
service to downtown Bozeman. The recipient has exceeded the expectations
of the community in their generous support downtown. This person has devoted considerable time and
effort to the betterment of the downtown community by volunteering for special
events, serving as a downtown board member, and playing a leadership role in
downtown initiatives.
The 2010 recipient of the "Life is Downtown" Award is Chris Pope.

Downtown Happenings - April 2010
There are always new things happening in the Downtown Bozeman area. Whether it's a new business opening, an existing business remodeling or just a simple update, I want to keep you informed about what going on in downtown!
Bozeman Massage Therapy has recently opened in Downtown  Bozeman! Owner Jenny LaPage has been living in Bozeman for the past 4 years but is no stranger to the area and is excited to be laying down roots here after spending many summers in Red Lodge, MT and knowing someday she would return. It's Jenny's love for the outdoors and teaching outdoors education which originally brought her to the area and after receiving her undergrad degree in Adventure Education in Prescott, AZ and attending massage school in Boulder, CO, she knew it was time to return to the community she loved.
