WHO HAS BEEN HELPED

Supporters of Radiant Hands have impacted the lives of 24 families, including 59 children. Six people have completed their GED exam with 2 people being assisted with payment for classes. Radiant Hands has committed to paying the exam fee of 3 other applicants when they are ready to take the exam. Donations has helped one mother by paying her car insurance so she could continue to get to work to support her 3 children. A unique case included a women who had to go to court in Jacksonville to plead her disability case for social security. Radiant Hands assisted with expenses for her to travel to Jacksonville to plead her case. In addition, a woman with 6 childrent was assisted in her move from Pensacola to start a new life in Ocala. She would not have been able to relocate without the support of the community.

We have an update on Yusef Kurdi, the young man who was in a serious car accident in Aruba. Due to the amazing support of the community, the family was able to bring him back to Florida and he is in a hospital in Tampa. If you would like to know more information, the family has created a website

WOMEN'S LUNCHEON OCALA

Pictures

A special thank you goes out to Mary Loutfi who organized a very special Women's Luncheon at the Islamic Center of Ocala. It was a resounding success with many people from the Ocala Community joining for an afternoon of great food, activities and the opportunity to support Radiant Hands Inc and Project Downtown Ocala by purchasing handmade crafts.

We can not express how much work is involved in hosting an event such as this and would like to thank everyone who worked  to make the event such a sucess.  If you didnt have a chance to attend you can still contact Mary and submit a donation.

Radiant Hands would also like to send a special thank you to Manal Fakhoury for her wonderful article and description of the event in the magazine "FamilyTimes" June/July 2012 found at area Publix stores. A copy of the page can be found on the website..
