We have our first scholarship recipient from Marion County and plans are underway in Alachua County. The institutions are very enthusiastic about our efforts and forsee this to be a great asset in the community.

MEETING
Check your calendar and let us know when you will be available for our next planning meeting for the 6th Annual Fundraising Dinner for Radiant Hands. Would you prefer weekend day, evening times for meeting. We need to establish committees to work on details of the evening, sponsors, ticket sales. We do value your input and look forward to your comments and suggestions, in order to make this dinner a great success. After all, each of you is an integral part of the charity and without your support we couldn't help others. |
RAHMA MERCY CLINIC
There will be a fundraising dinner for the clinic on Sunday March 6th at the Hoda Center on SW 13th Street. the program will start with an Open House at 5:30 until approximately 6:30pm followed by a dinner provided by Bay Leaf Restaurant from Ocala. |

HEALTH FAIR AND INDIA FEST
ICEC is holding the Annual event India Fest on March 19th at Santa Fe College gym located at 3000 NE 83rd Street. 10:00am-6:00pm.
Admission is $3.00 per person, children under 5 are free.
Free screening and/or information about: Arithis, Asthma, Alzheimer, Blood pressure, body Fat Measurement.
The Lab corp is offering the CBE, comprehensive chemistry & Lipid panel worth $350.00 for only $50.00. this is a good deal for people who have no insurance or high deductible with their insurance. If you are planning to have this done, please do not eat or drink after midnight.

MARCH FOR BABIES
March for Babies (through the March of Dimes) is being held at Westwood Middle School field on March 26, 2011 starting at 8am. If you are interested in joining us to walk, contact admin@radianthands.org. You can make your own donations to the March of Dimes at their website: http://marchforbabies.org. They will probably have a table at the start of the walk if you want to make a contribution at that time. It will be fun, you don't have to go the distance. It will be a great time to get out and do some good for the community while enjoying each others company.

US MUSLIM WOMEN'S SHELTER AT RISK FOR CLOSURE
Muslimat-Al-Nisaa is a safe haven established in the 1980s for women and children from all over the country that are homeless and/or victims of domestic violence. The shelter is struggling to pay their delinquent utility bills and keep their doors open. It is the only such shelter that we at Radiant Hands are aware of, and we ask that you, our dedicated supporters, give to this worthy cause. Muslimat al Nisaa fights to maintain the dignity of our Muslim sisters and their children in their darkest hour. Let us join together in supporting this worthy cause.
