Greetings!

HAPPY NEW YEAR

A New Year is the best time to  take advantage of technology, and the opportune time to make a resolution to become a Radiant Hands "electronic" donor, by setting up a monthly donation. With a monthly commitment via paypal, credit card or bank transfer you can rest assured that Radiant Hands will be able to continue helping those less fortunate in the community and you will not have to remember each month to go online. Don't trust the technology? We are  more than happy to handle paper checks and cash.  We want to make it as easy as possible for you.

For the price of one cup of coffee at starbucks a week  you can help keep the lights on, buy food for a family, perhaps even be involved in keeping them in their home.

If you have made a pledge to the Radiant Works Scholarship Fund, please fulfill that pledge now. If you thought about supporting this program but just haven't gotten around to it, now is a good time to set up monthly donations so the task is completed and you don't have to worry about mailing a check.

Don't hesitate, why not take the time now to click on the link to the left and "Donate Now through PayPal".

                                                          COMMITTEES

The Scholarship Committee will be responsible for reviewing applications and following up on applications. The plan is to accept 5 referrals from the GED program in both Marion and Alachua county each cycle of the exam. Once the completed applications have been received, the committee will be responsible for ranking the applications, which will then be compiled and one winner will be chosen from each county to receive the scholarship. Exams are given approximately once a month. The review process and notification will all be done through email contact and perhaps through a telephone conference if necessary. Now is the time to get involved and make a difference.

The Fundraising Dinner Committee will  be composed of subcommittees to work together to locate a venue for the next dinner, plan the program for the event and be involved in getting sponsors and donations. If you have suggestions and ideas for a successful event, please plan to join us.  You can chose which subcommittee you would like to be involved with or take a leadership role. A notice will be sent shortly regarding possible meeting times.

If you would like to be involved in the Scholarship Committee, or the Annual Fundraising Dinner Committee, please contact admin@radianthands.org.
