THANK YOU
We had such an outstanding time on Oct. 2nd at our 5th Annual Fundraising Dinner, "Radiant Hands Touching Lives" and we would like to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude to the 100 guests who attending the event. Thanks is also due to Dr. Riadh Fakhoury for his help in leading the fundraising and art auction.

The highlight of the evening was the announcement of the new, Radiant Works scholarship program which will provide funds for women seeking certification or training (for example, certification as a Nursing Assistant, or assistance with obtaining a GED) to further their careers and offer greater financial stability to their families. This program will complement the general charitable activities that Radiant Hands does to help families weather financial crises. Our goal is to raise $5000 for this endeavor. Pledges from the guests at the dinner came to more than half of the goal. We are looking forward to accepting applications in the Spring of 2011. If you would like to help develop the program by working on the scholarship fund committee, or you would like to suggest training/certification opportunities, please email us at admin@radianthands.org.

GAINESVILLE FALL ARTS FESTIVAL


The Gainesville Arts Festival is just around the corner (November 6 & 7). Radiant Hands has had a booth each year since 2006. We need volunteers for 2 to 3 hour shifts throughout the weekend to do henna painting on hands.  Contact your friends and come together for a great cause. Contact Pat@radianthands.org and let her know if you will be able to help.
