Potluck Dinner: Saturday, July 10 at 6:30 PM at the Hoda Center on SW 13th Street. This will be a potluck community dinner so please bring a dinner dish and a drink to share. Coming Events:

Greetings!
Radiant Hands hopes everyone had a fantastic Fourth of July and enjoyed the time with their loved ones.
We know that everything slows down in the summer, but Radiant Hands is hard at work planning for the dinner in October. We will have lots of art and items available ranging from paper marbling, calligraphy, original pen/ink drawings, woven baskets and carved boxes from Nigeria and jewelry donated from area artists..
NEWS:
There is going to be a new format for the dinner this year. The event will be at Central Florida Community College and their staff will be setting up the venue. In addition, the meal will be catered by their food service, and they will be serving the food from the buffet line. (No more kitchen duty for us). We are planning to have a variety of options that will suit all appetites. Our volunteers will be focusing on helping everyone pick out their favorite piece, showing them how to a bid. In addition, we will have items for direct purchase.
There will be a "live" auction with an auctioneer, whom many of you already know, but you will have to wait to find out who this special person is going to be. In addition, there will be a silent auction where you can write down your bid for the item. Remember a silent auction means you have to check on the item during the evening and make sure yours is the highest bid.
So.....
Now, we need voluteers to help with ticket sales as all tickets will be sold in advance. A limited number will be available on the website (link coming soon) and the rest will be available from the members and volunteers. Let us know if you would like to help with this committee. Send a short email to Pat ( pat@radianthands.org ) and she will arrange to give you the tickets so you will have them available when you go to the upcoming parties.
If you would like to be on the sponsor committee contact Pat and she will provide the information and packets.
This event will be a fantastic with your participation. Don't be shy, we will appreciate your help. |
