Thank you for reading our newly formatted newsletter. We hope that the monthly newsletter will be successful. If you have something to include in the Community Announcements, please send to pat@radianthands.org prior to the First Tuesday of the month.

Please join us in congratulating Ameena and Ahmed and welcoming baby Hamza Ahmed Sherif to our community. He arrived Jan. 25, 2010, weighing in at 8lb 14oz, and 22+ inches tall. Both mom and baby are doing great. Safiya is very excited about her new baby brother and is anxious to touch, hug and give kisses to him.
Each year, agencies must apply to the Univ. of Florida to be accepted into their program for payroll deduction. Last year was the second year Radiant Hands was accepted into the program. We have applied again and are hopeful that we will be accepted. This is an easy method for those working at UF to be able to make donations through payroll deduction.  If you do not work at UF, you can also make monthly donations easily by setting up automatic payments through PayPal or through your bank.

The year just a month old and we have received several requests for help with medical bills, utilities and requests for rent assistance totaling $1,080. The current economic conditions are making for an extremely difficult time for those least able to handle it. As always, Radiant Hands is grateful for your support and donations in order to help those less fortunate. Without your support, we could not continue our efforts.

Radiant Hands will be having a women's luncheon in Ocala soon. Keep watching for details of date, time and place.
