With the turbulent economy and unemployment rate so high, we have been receiving an overwhelming number of requests for assistance. Since June1 we have assisted 20 different families including 34 children. They have been requesting help to keep from being evicted, food for their children and help with utilities (we were able to pre-empt power being shut off on 3 occasions. We do not like to turn people away, (on one day we received 6 applications), however, recently some of the applicants were only given a food card in the amount of $25.00.   Please consider making a donation at this time.  We are very fortunate to live in a community with so much empathy for those less fortunate, and Radiant Hands would like to continue helping those in need.
