Silk Road Club of UF
The Silk Road Club of UF presents for the first time Abraham's Table Discussions. Three moderators representing Judaism, Christianity, and Islam will briefly address the topic from each perspective. Abraham is the unifying Prophet among Jews, Christians and Muslims, and his famous table, which brought together people of different walks of life, is the inspiration for our Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Attendants will then have the opportunity to raise questions and discuss in a very informal environment. The event will take place at 7.00 pm on Thursday, January 15th, 2009 at Reitz Union Room 347. More info: silkroad@grove.ufl.edu RSVP is not required. Refreshments will be served |
| Angel Food Program
GCM has partnered with Angel Food to provide quality food at low cost. Angel Food is available in a quantity that can fit into a medium-sized box at $30 per unit.
Generally, one unit of food assists in feeding a family of four for about one week or a single senior citizen for almost a month. The food is all the same high quality one could purchase at a grocery store. There are no second-hand items, no damaged or out-dated goods, no dented cans without labels, no day-old breads and no produce that is almost too ripe. Check out our website for ordering information and the menu items. This program is open to everyone with no restrictions except to pick up the food at the designated time and place. |
Online Assistance Request
There is a new link on the web page where people can apply for assistance from Radiant Hands. There are two options: print and mail in the form or apply online. All fields are required for application consideration. If you know someone who can benefit from this please let them know.
