Happy New Year
Wishing everyone all the best for 2009
Birth Center of Gainesville Update
Radiant Hands purchased: shampoo, diaper rash cream, infant tylenol, wipes, and two cases of diapers per family. Ameena was kind enough to collect and deliver items requested for the newborns which were: a mobile, pack of 2 crib sheets, a sleeper outfit (with feet), a hat, and a warm jacket, in addition to socks, a few onsies, and teething rings, and picked up some keepsake items donated by Miracles Maternity over in Thornebrooke village. We also collected two large strollers, two small strollers, a few toys, clothes, a very nice crib and mattress, and an infant tub from the families in Ocala. We delivered all of these items in the last two weeks to the Birth Center and they were very very pleased. I think they are looking forward to continued contact with us. If you still have baby items and would like to donate them please send an email to admin@radianthands.org . |
| Angel Food Program
GCM has partnered with Angel Food to provide quality food at low cost. Angel Food is available in a quantity that can fit into a medium-sized box at $30 per unit.
Generally, one unit of food assists in feeding a family of four for about one week or a single senior citizen for almost a month. The food is all the same high quality one could purchase at a grocery store. There are no second-hand items, no damaged or out-dated goods, no dented cans without labels, no day-old breads and no produce that is almost too ripe. Check out our website for ordering information and the menu items. This program is open to everyone with no restrictions except to pick up the food at the designated time and place. |
Online Assistance Request
There is a new link on the web page where people can apply for assistance from Radiant Hands. There are two options: print and mail in the form or apply online. All fields are required for application consideration. If you know someone who can benefit from this please let them know.
